Message | Yes, what's the difference between a month before birth or a month after if the term "it's HER baby" is all that matters? After all, at neither time can the baby take care of itself. And actually, it's not just 'her' baby. There is a father involved somewhere. The excuse about who carries the baby is only that, a feminist argument - not a scientific one. If one does not like the idea of becoming pregnant, then perhaps one should take the responsibility not to become pregnant. Calling pregnancy an 'accident' is a foolish misconception - no pun intended. DNA and science says the baby is a different, unique human, and thus it is not 'her body', and while she many have to live with having an abortion, her child certainly will not. The government here has the responsibility to protect all human life, not just life for those who can shout and complain the loudest. This being said, in the case of health of the mother, the mother should have the right to protection and 'self defense' again all forms of direct physical harm - intended or unintended, but this bill does not address that issue, and as such a no vote is the only reasonable vote for those who know and understand science and the application of law and are no subject to special interest groups calling either for the complete removal of abortion at all costs, nor the complete legalization on a whim. |

Message | I didn't propose this bill on the grounds of science. I proposed it on the grounds of a woman's present situation in her life. She concieved the baby. The gov't did not. It has nothing to do with a baby taking care of itself, any laymen knows a baby cannot. It has nothing to do with self-defense because the woman would authorize this. Is intercourse rape if she says no? Of course because she didn't volunteer. The gov't is an observer, not an enforcer. It has nothing to do with a baby's uniqueness, kids aren't even conscious of their own bodies until their teens. Do you think the animals that we slaughter for food have a conscious? Because if they did then I could assure you most definitely that we wouldn't have the gall to kill them. The whole decision of the baby is left to the conciever. The father is non-issue based on the fact that Men have to do some extremely lazy action, while the women must be in labor for nine months. If the father has a say, it's for advisal only. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
