Message | Article 3 we are in total agreement with; article 2 we can live with although we feel that if the state has to go to the expense of supporting prisoners it deserves some return for its investment, but we will have to think long and hard about accepting article 1. Premeditated murder would, under some circumstances, deserve capital punishment, as would predatory rape and kidnapping in our opinion. |

Message | "We share some of the AM RLP concerns. Perhaps issues are not as cut and dried as the NTPL legislators suggest. We have concerns about overturning ANY of these issues, without further consideration. We appreciate that these issues are on the table, but we feel that we have to oppose rash legislation, at this point. Of course, our party has little legislational strength at this point - and this issue will be determined by how the AM RLP votes. Or abstains. We are merely clarifying our position on the issue." --Avrum Herrmann, April 3297 |
