Minister of Internal Affairs Lodewijk Maeystad presents this bill to the States-General. He said: "This proposal merely obliges the police to follow the same regulations for the internet as we already oblige them to follow in everyday affairs. We should treat the world wide web as an exciting advance in technology, enabling all sorts of people to socialize, gain knowledge - or just having fun. However, we shouldn't treat it as something out of reach, exotic." |
