Bill: Child Protection Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Populist Liberal Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2150

Description[?]:

Whereas, "home schooling" is most definitely used as a means to hide child abuse-- the child abuse would be obvious if the child is sent to school, and

Whereas, it can also be used to teach ridiculous beliefs that not even any private or religious school would teach,

We hereby propose that all children must attend an actual school.

MessageWeird notions, School is simply a place of indoctrination. People who study at home are often the most free minded, able to consider point of view contrary to the contemporary political millieu

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map.

Random quote: "We must show that liberty is not merely one particular value but that it is the source and condition of most moral values. What a free society offers to the individual is much more than what he would be able to do if only he were free. We can therefore not fully appreciate the value of freedom until we know how a society of free men as a whole differs from one in which unfreedom prevails." - Friedrich August Hayek
