MessageThe only apparent objective, of this bill, is to ruin the economy of Parlos Decina.

MessageThis will have no effect on the economy of Parlos Decina. The House of Adamson has extensive business knowledge - we know how to manage an economy - unlike the House who controls the Ministry of Finance who has made no effort to cut taxes.

MessageThe economy of Parlos Decina depends on coal and railways. This will ruin it.
We have made no effort to cut taxes?
Our tax rates were low until the Blue coalition messed up the economy and we had to raise them to come out of debt. Cutting government spending, at such a time, would not be great for the citizens on welfare.

OOC: Check economic protocols (in the forums) and the bill we passed to join it.

MessageIt will not ruin it. It will significantly increase coal and rail line production and will make train services cheaper and much more efficient. Do not challenge our family's formidable business record.

As they have criticised my House's economic management capabilities, we challenge the House DeKarav to prove their superior economic management. Cut sales tax, cut income taxes, and cut excessive spending on the environment and science!

MessageFinance and economics are different in the context you mention.
This, here, is about legislation.

The budget, itself, is really a "fix" on over 100 years of Tory government that was bred by the Stanton family.
I don't think the Williams family, or the Pattersons, would agree to cutting Environment/Tourism funds as I would. Likewise, I wouldn't agree to cutting Science & Technology.

MessageAnd this legislation will benefit the economy of the Parishes and of the entire country!

There is massive underspending in essential services: health, education, industy; massive overspending on the environment and on science. Our County's finances need an overhaul. Act responsibly, as the House which controls one of the key departments of state, the Ministry of Finance, do something about this mess.

MessageMassive overspending?
We only spend 10,000,000,000 BEL on Environment & Tourism
We only spend 15,000,000,000 BEL on Science & Technology
We spend 50,000,000,000 BEL on Education & Culture
We spend 50,000,000,000 BEL on Health & Social Services

Tourism is an Industry, and a well-funded Tourism sector gives us another medium of promoting culture, which would take expenses away from the Education/Culture Ministry, therefore allowing us to use all 50,000,000,000 BEL on Education instead of focusing on Culture, that can be left to the Tourism sector. The Tourism sector handles things like maintaining natural parks, maintaining historical sites, and preserving culture in museums and special archives; when we underfund the Tourism sector, the Education/Culture ministry will need to take up this load.

Science/Technology is important. The Health Ministry cannot do without a well-funded Science/Technology ministry.

Don't criticize our Finance; as I have said, we are only modifying things that existed before we entered the political scene. This bill is about Industry, not Finance. They are both related to the economy, but they are different.

If this bill is passed, we can say "goodbye" to investors in private TOCs. The private sector, in the transportation industry, provides a lot of jobs. The national TOC is already publicly owned; it crosses parish boundaries. We shouldn't stop private transportation industry from existing overall.

MessageEnvironment doesn't affect the people enough that it should receive as much as 10% of the education and health budgets. 1% maybe, but not 10%. The current budgets are disproportionate to their importance to the people of the County.
