Bill: Healthcare Policy

Details

Submitted by[?]: United Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3306

Description[?]:

We believe that that our current medical system, although adequate does not cater to the true health needs of the people. We feel that private healthcare would allow citizens to get better medical help through the use of advanced equipment and techniques too costly for the goverment to use. It would also free up funds in the budget as less money would be needed to subsidise the free healthcare system meaning it could be used in alternate areas.

MessageWe don't really have "wealthy" people in Ikradon, like most other countries do. Our income disparity is low due to maximum salary caps and highly progressive taxation, as well as a living wage and anti-poverty measures.

MessageNormally, I would vote yes on this, but due to your reasoning behind the bill, I can't support it this time.
