Message | Mr Speaker - This is a gross infringement of civil liberty. Hutori has an historic tradition of recreational drug use and this knee-jerk prohibition will simply put money into the hands of gangsters, as people will be forced to buy on the black market. I implore the House to think again. Claire Weir MP, Leader of the United Party |

Message | Rt Hon Tom Heaton MP, Hutorian Prime Minister, Mr Speaker, we do not share the view that destroying ones body with drugs is a "historic tradition". Clearly the member opposite has some strange views on what is and what is not culturally acceptable. This is simply the state saying that drug use - which kills many people every year - is not something the state should be condoning. Yes, we know all the arguments and we are not convinced that the status quo is an acceptable policy when it comes to drug use in Hutori. Mr Speaker, our party believes the state should not be profiteering out of killing our citizens through drug use - and this seems to be one capitalist policy the socialist opposition seems to want to keep. We find that unacceptable that the state is raising money by killing our population. |
