Bill: Secular State
Details
Submitted by[?]: Mordusian Democratic Union
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3311
Description[?]:
Members of the State-General, On behalf of my party, I would like to discuss some changes concerning religious inspired matters. Art 1. The MDU believe that the State should not get itself involved in whether missionaries are to be welcomed or not. As long as these people abide our law we see no reason why Mordusia should welcome missionaries at all. Art 2. To the public, civil servants have to be completely neutral in exercising their daily duties. The current legislation contradict that principle. Art 3. We should give all parents and students a choice: religious or public schools. The current situation might create to many religious schools which will unbalance that right to choose. Lesly Downson MDU Spokesman for Civil Liberties and Home Affairs |
