Annelies van Raesberg, Minister of Justice, has published a statement containing an official Call for Candidates in order to appoint a President of the International Justice Commission on the Keymon War II (IJC on Keymon II).

The President will appoint a further five Judges from five different countries in order to bring several former leading Keymonite officials to trial. Possible indictments include genocide, crimes against peace and war crimes.

The Minister uses the power given to her by Art. 7 of the relevant legislation: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=346477.

Six persons declared their candidacy. Of these six persons, three were withheld.

Candidates had to fulfill the following requirements (Art. 5. § 3 of the same legislation): "(...) who must be older than 35 years of age, have an academic degree in law and may not hold public office during the time of the IJC."

The three approved candidatures were:

Based on these candidacies, the Minister has signed a resolution sent to the States-General for reference purposes:

"Let it be resolved that Dr. Peter BARR-WELLS is hereby appointed as President of the International Justice Commission on the Keymon War II by the Minister of Justice, the Rt. Hon. Annelies van Raesberg."

MessageOf these three we like Barr-wells the beat. We feel given his degree he will be sensitive, or at least knowledgable about the various jurisprudential systems of the continent. This is, we believe, important for the legitimacy of the commission.
