Bill: Adjusting Seat Numbers

Details

Submitted by[?]: Plaid Cydweithol (Ailgodi)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2152

Description[?]:

Odd numbers of seats in the chamber eliminates the (albeit rare) possibility of a staemate and thus is beneficial to the democratic process. Therefore, we propose that the number of seats in the House of Representatives be increased from 400 to 401.

MessageWe favour 201 actually. It reduces costs and does not lower the democratic level of our nation. However, 401 is acceptable.

MessageOOC: Sorry, I was going to add the proposal but I had a power cut in my house, and my PC's refused to boot since then. Works now, though :)

Why?
- To eliminate any chances of a stalemate.

we can't tie right now anyway, unless for some reason only me and the liberals voted.
- This would come into effect for the next election, where results may be different.

Message(I say, I didn't realise the election would be so soon. It was held between me moving this to a vote and me voting on it, I think...)
