Bill: Private Pension System Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conservative Liberal Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2152
Description[?]:
Our current policy regarding pension plans is inadequate. What if people are foolish and decide not save up at all? The problem we will ultimately end up with is having many poor old people out on the streets. This is not good! We must create a compulsory private pension system so that people are prepared for the future in order for them to live out their final years in comfort. We do not want to set up a public pension plan because it is too costly for the state and will just end up being another ineffective bureaucracy. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning the pension system.
Old value:: The state does not operate a pension system. Individuals must save up for retirement on their own.
Current: The state operates a compulsory public system combined with an optional private pension.
Proposed: There is a compulsory private pension system.

Message | Let them make up their own mind - It's either: Money to continue family name/dynasty. OR Save nothing, no money for kids, who'll hopefully starve and thereby cleanse the gene pool of those foolish enough not to save up. In other words - against. |

Message | I'd prefer 'The state operates a compulsory public system combined with an optional private pension.' However, we will vote yes to this. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
