Bill: Compulsory Purchase Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Takanashi Clan

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3335

Description[?]:

This act calls for legalisation of compulsory purchase (also known as eminent domain or expropriation) for vital government work. It argues that the need of the many outweighs the need of the few or the one, and in case for important public works, individuals should not be able to block the construction of them unless with sufficient reasoning.

MessageYes, but should the property of one hampers the rights of the other citizens, in case said property is in the way of vital government constructions such as railroad and highway? We, as well as our honourable colleagues, are sitting in this council specifically because we realise the power of one is weak, and sometimes some rights have to be sacrificed for the greater good. If we cannot uphold the benefits of all people, then we are afraid we cannot justify our authority.

MessageSometimes humanity is more important than humans. The democratic power of the people is vested in the civilian government we appoint through the cabinet.

MessageI sincerely believe abortion is murder. I do not, however, condone rape and those who permit that act, regardless of their religion should be jailed.

MessageAnd what is the point of our, as in the federal council, existence and taxation if we are powerless to protect and uphold the greater good?

You support rape.
Your religion has psychologically raped many public minds.
