MessageOnce again I could be persuaded either way on this issue.

MessageMaking this change would permit our arms manufacturers a wider range of possible customers while still allowing the government to prevent the sale of arms to nations or organizations which are deemed to pose a threat to ourselves or our allies. Having a policy of not allowing arms sales to anyone other than our closest allies, regardless of the threat posed by potential purchasers, needlessly harms our arms industry.

MessageMembers of the House of Rakyta: I ask you...

What "allies" do you speak of?
Beluzia is a neutral nation.

We, members of the Karav Dynasty, only support this bill after noticing the situation in Kafuristan, where Deltaria and Cildania are being accused of supplying Badaran troops.

MessageThe current law mentions allies however, so it allows sales to hypothetical allies.

If we do not currently have any allies, then the current law presents an even greater burden to the success of our nations arms manufacturing industry.

MessageThat's a foolish position to hold.

Nonetheless, the current position hurts our arms industry unnecessarily. Especially if we have no allies.

MessageStating that we will not have any allies, implies that you wouldn't support forming an alliance with another nation or nations regardless of whatever circumstances arise.

Neutrality is fine so long as everyone recognizes it. If not, it could be possible we would need to build alliances to protect ourselves from aggression or as necessary to protect our national interests elsewhere in the world.

MessageAlliances mean obligations of allegiance to foreign bodies that determine our foreign policy and guarantee us enemies as well.
We are neutral and that is already recognised.
