Message | The JNLP endorses this bill and sees it as a wonderful improvement to our education system. |
Date | 17:24:58, July 15, 2012 CET | From | Jelbanian Democratic Party | To | Debating the Education Reform Bill |
Message | The Freedom Party can openly agree with Article One, but will be opposed to Articles Two and Three. The current system already maintains a system of free and public nurseries which are also used a pre-school educational centres, in addition to allowing, under strict regulation, private establishments to exist and believe this system is fine as is. As well Standardized Testing for College entry is the easiest way of insuring properly prepared students are ready for the rigors of college and university. |

Message | Standardized testing is all well and good, but recent studies have shown that our nation's children are becoming nothing more than mindless drones, with no ability to think outside the box or incorporate creativity into their work. We will concede with Article Two, but we insist on Article Three, as we believe that the Jelbic Education system needs a spark of creative life in the otherwise dull school years of a child. Message | The Freedom Party would like to know where the JNLP got the results of this so called studies for this, and wonders how the JNLP expects student creativity to factor in to college entry where the Professors are likely going to care less about student creativity and more about how productive they are on tests. Message | The studies were done by an independent scientist group, and if you doubt the public's support for this measure, you may view our newsletter, where 35.6% of citizens are convinced of at least moderate extension of government responsibilities. It is our responsibility as representatives of the people to make sure that our children are well-educated, and at the same time we must make sure that our children grow up to make vital contributions to our culture and base of knowledge, and they can't do that if they are simply learning to fill in multiple choice bubbles and write in blanks. |

Random quote: "A democracy that does not allow limits is not a democracy. Just as a limitless freedom is not freedom, but prevarication. Indeed, any theory of freedom worthy of this name is first of all a limit theory. If we extend the unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not willing to defend a tolerant society against the attacks of the intolerants, then the tolerants will be destroyed and the tolerance with them! Because, I ask to myself and ask you, given a certain system that we call democratic, which is today the best possible system to allow everyone to live freely and to be able to express their own thoughts, how can the same system admit attacks against its integrity? How can a system refuse the principle of the self-preservation? For this reason, to suppress the apologetics of thalerrism, it's for this reason that the exaltation of exegetes, principles, facts or methods of Thallerism and its anti-democratic aims does not constitute a violation of the freedom of manifestation of thought, but, on the contrary, the celebration of that freedom. The protection of the first premise on which a modern democratic system is based. And this premise must be safeguarded also and above all against itself and its abuses." ~ Malik Astori, Leadership of Liberty and Progress (Istalia) |
