MessageRt Hon Sarah Cope MP, Prime Minister of Hutori

Mr Speaker, this law would lead to a massive over-complication of bureaucracy, as every single arms sales would have to be approved by the cabinet. This is unacceptable, it is illegal anyway for arms dealers to sell them to Hutori's enemies (in any war there would be a trade embargo) so this legislation will just bring lots of costs for no benefits.

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
