Bill: PAC Immigration Proposal

Details

Submitted by[?]: Frente Amplio de Acción Democrática

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3340

Description[?]:

"PAC has been working on this proposal for quite some time now. We have long seen the need to readjust the state's policy regarding border control.

The current law imposes no border control whatsoever on any foreign visitor, this of course, is very damaging to our nations, since there is not even a basic security system which would allow the state filter the entrance into Drania from unwanted visitors, such as criminals.

We believe that a system which would imposes minimal border controls on visitors, with cursory security checks, to confirm visitor identities is the best course our nation can take. This in no way hampers tourism...."

MessageBorder controls are not the problem. If we wish to tighten immigration laws, we should abolish the current policy of allowing everyone to permanently reside in this nation. Border controls could be a further step afterwards, however we would currently oppose such a measure.

Message"We understand GNP's position on this matter, but must state that this law would filter out those people that the nation definitely does not need nor want, thus allowing all those that are beneficial to our nation stay in Drania, while at the same time effectively increasing security. This of course, would not solve all our problems, but its a step in the right direction."
