Bill: Feline Regiatration Programme

Details

Submitted by[?]: Beluz Democratic Karavist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3344

Description[?]:

This bill will allow felines and humans to be co-citizens.
There is no harm in co-existence.

Felines will have access to the same education and healthcare benefits.
The government will pay for them to be educated in Barmenia, while healthcare will be taken care of locally.

In addition, since a status of "citizenship" disqualifies humans from being considered the "national animal" then the same will need to be applied for all felines.

Currently, such benefits are provided to the Katravs, the feline bloodline of Karav Manor. We should expand the prosperity to all felines.

MessageWe are in support of this act. However, as rights come along with duties, may we ask that will the duties from citizenship, such as taxation, be applied to the felines as well? If so, we are also very interested in the methods of communication and integration of the feline population to its human counterpart.

MessageDefinitely; cats, who earn an income, will have to pay taxes.

MessageThat is indeed interesting. May we also ask if there are any existing technology or equipment that assist our feline companions to integrate with the human society?

MessageThe International Resource Centre, in Iliathar, was built for both humans and felines, because companies in Barmenia are on the stock market. Note the last 2 sentences in this bill passed in July 3331: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=353315

I can imagine felines, both employees and clients, in the International Resource Centre.
Cats can easily find jobs in the military, and entertainment or marketing industries.

We are not saying all felines must have jobs, but when a feline has a steady job, he/she is obligated to pay income taxes.

MessageGreetings to the felines, men, and women of the Federal Council of Nobles,

The Feline Homeland of Barmenia is pleased by this move towards equal rights. It helps bring our two nations to the same direction in regards to foreign policy. We look forward to further ties of trade, friendship, and prosperity in the future.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.

Random quote: "If we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people to not kill each other? Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want." - Mother Teresa of Calcutta quotes
