Description[?]:
The HS party has had enough of government members attempting to turn our nation into a communist (YES COMMUNIST) state and at the same time just as tired of allying themselves with political parties that are religious fanatics to prevent this, which means that a change on government will be coming now. Under this CIP will endorse me for head of state in the first round and I will give him the cabinet except for foreign affairs. Any party that is willing to give up trying to stop a free market or enforce religion on the people will be welcomed to talked in this new talk. As Ba’al sel Safot I will be stepping down next election and point current Defense Minister Noreita Neir as the one who will run for HS in the new head of state. Ba’al sel Safot Jaffer Ziyad |

How dare you try and replace me and the C.N.C. with some newcomer because you up and decided you were smarter than anyone else here. Me and every other person here will write as many bills about as many things as we want. |

Date | 01:56:13, August 04, 2012 CET | From | Cildanian Imperial Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | It doesn't really matter, the Cildanian people prefers parties with strong leaders, free market and no religious pupbups to interfere with their daily life. Religion is a matter of the citizens private sphere. |

Date | 03:04:41, August 04, 2012 CET | From | E.D.N.A. | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | I think that you meant "its" not "it's." "It's" is an abbreviation for "it is" while "its" shows ownership of something. Also, I believe that you meant "continue" not "continues" and I think that your statement would have been clearer if you had written "continue on." |
Date | 03:12:05, August 04, 2012 CET | From | E.D.N.A. | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | Also, just as a general notice for everyone, you should always put periods after each letter when using an acronym. Example: Hi C.I.P.! How are you today? |
Date | 03:21:39, August 04, 2012 CET | From | Cildanian Imperial Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | ooc: Thank you very much, might I add that English isn't my native tounge. |
Date | 08:43:32, August 04, 2012 CET | From | Partit Qawmien Soċjalista Maġatrani | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | OOC: "It's" may not be standard but theoretically it is not incorrect. |
Date | 05:07:13, August 05, 2012 CET | From | E.D.N.A. | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | How so? |
Date | 05:10:06, August 05, 2012 CET | From | E.D.N.A. | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | To the C.I.P. Sorry that I corrected your grammar, but you were severely bugging me. Sincerely, the E.D.N.A. |
Date | 05:17:42, August 05, 2012 CET | From | E.D.N.A. | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | Also, I just want to apologize for calling "it's" an abbreviation. "It's" is actually a contraction, not an abbreviation. |
Date | 15:49:58, August 05, 2012 CET | From | Partit Qawmien Soċjalista Maġatrani | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | OOC: I found a website to speak for me. It does not address that some usage of "it's" as a possessive continues to the present day even among well educated people. http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=its |
Date | 18:14:01, August 05, 2012 CET | From | E.D.N.A. | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of May 3344 |
Message | I have never met anyone who used it in that form. Your link suggests that any educated person stopped using the apostrophe in "its" sometime during the early 1800s or even before that. I am afraid I am going to have to side with the current usage because it has been the norm for about the last 200 years, at least where I live. My grammar teacher would have had an absolute fit had I used "it's" incorrectly. Just because something was written a certain way centuries ago does not mean that it is applicable to modern grammar rules. |

Message | OOC: My grammar teachers would have flipped if I used any spelling which was not Standard American English. I guess we differ on opinion of whether former grammar rules can be applied to modern grammar. |

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn |
