MessageThe Popular Party feel that the debae over the formation of a new cabinet has been going on for too long now. We feel that the cabinet we have proposed today guarantees a strong and happy future for the citizens of the Republic of Dranland without giving anyunfair advantage to any party (e.g PAC). We understand some parties have reservations about the Popular Party holding the Foreign Affairs post. The Popular Party will seek to promote a very moderate foreign policy which will promote the Republic of Dranland's democratic principles while not getting Dranland involved in unnecessary conflicts. The nominee we have proposed for this position, Gillian Clarke is well known within our party for being very moderate. We hope all parties will support this new cabinet proposal and finally put an end to all the arguments so the parliament can get back to doing what it has been elected by the people of Dranland to do and what it does best-serving the people of Dranland.

MessageWhile we would, for the sake of our nation, be willing to leave the foreign ministry to the PP, we have an objection to the arguments brought forward by Mr. Stewart: If your opposition to the PAC proposal was due to an unbalanced allocation of ministries with regards to party strength, how can you claim two ministries for the PP while giving only one to the Awas Party and the IAP, which are both stronger than your party? PAC has stated its opposition to a PP-led foreign ministry and we wish to hear their opinion on the issue before voting.

MessageCorrection: "for the sake of our nation" was rather meant as "for the sake of our nation's political stability" or "for the sake of a stable government" and was not intended to sound like an endorsement for the PP's foreign policy.

Random quote: "Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time." - Winston Churchill
