Description[?]:
For too long we have been told that the fusion of the state and the church is not a favourable thing. However, these western-based values do not take account, accidentally or otherwise, into the very tradition and culture of our great Gao civilisation: ever since the foundation of our ancestor-state, the Gao-Soto Empire, our faith, be it Kamism, Daenism, or Cheng Daenism, have been fused with the state, and they complement each other to preserve and promote our culture in every way. While the state administrate the physical life of our people, the faith administrate the spiritual life of them. Not only is it not a conflict of authority like the westerners preached, it is actually a symbiotic relation, where we are governed by virtue and moral from both outward and inward. Is it not true that the introduction and conversion of our people into the decadent western faith contributed to the fall of our great civilisation? Is it not true that our misled people, controlled by the foreign clergy, the very thing that reject our government and culture in favour of those... "universal" values? We must declare that such spiritual genocide to be ended right here, right now. Let us restore the very faith that have guided us to greatness, and let us ascend back to the greatness that our people deserve. |

Message | While many Indralans are somewhat religious, the majority are by no means devout. Certainly, opinion polls have consistently shown that Indralans are strongly opposed to government intervention in religion and do not want the government to establish a theocratic state. Furthermore, it makes no sense to promote one religion over others when there is no single dominant religion in Indrala. |

Message | Our honourable colleagues for the Indralan Alliance failed take into account that the very nature of religion is very different for our civilisation as opposed to the western cultures. The essence of our faiths is that they resemble more a way of living, a way for us to see and revere the world around us, other than what "supreme being" are ruling us in the skies. For traditional Gao-Showa people, unless said being descend into the natural world and interact with us, who it is to create us, or give us live or wisdom, is irrelevant. What counts as "devout" or not is whether or not an individual accept the way of thinking, the philosophy of our faith. With that settled, the name, even many of the rituals of the religion is not important. Because of that, and the fact that 75% of the people consider themselves to be of Gao-Showan faiths, all of them having the same root to our long and sacred history, we believe that the restoration of our spiritual pureness by once again accepting these guiding principles is only just, if we are to protect the very soul that is the Gao civilisation. We believe that the response from our honourable colleagues for the Indralan Alliance just demonstrated how deeply rooted the western values are to our people now. By accepting the idea that the only way one can be devout is to accept a particular "religion" and reject all others, such as how the western religions do, are we not preaching intolerance towards each other, when we should bind together to resist western imperialism? This has more to do with "establish a theocratic state", this is an essential part for our struggle against the imperialist corruption to the very essence of our great civilisation! |

Message | OOC: As the person who made the cultural protocols for Indrala, which can only be slowly changed over a period of 500 years, most Indralans adhere to a combination of Jienism, Heaven Worship, and Qamido or whatever its called now. |

Message | OOC: Gao-Showan religions are pretty philosophical in nature and are usually compatible anyway. Regarding heaven worship, I kind of group that with Qamido/Guidao now, seeing that the original article is a bit lack of substance. |
