Description[?]:
The Liberal Socialist Union propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Mordusian Federal Republic. The economy has grown by an impresive 3.2% over the last fiscal year. All areas of GDP have again increased, government expenditure by the most. Spending on Infrastructure and Transport, Education and Culture and Trade and Industry is again to be increased by 10% as was said in last two budgets to encourage investment. No other areas of expenditure have been changed since last years budget. The Budget deficit at this budget will be -3,509327,378 MRP. This is 0.19% of GDP, well below our suggested top limit of 2% GDP Deficit. (for comparison the United states is currently running on a roughly 3.6% GDP deficit). |

Message | Deficit is always bad. Now it's only 0,2 percent. Maybe better allocation of budget funds will allow to avoid deficits? If not ,we will support. |

Message | Deficit is not always bad. A budget surplus takes money out of the system decreasing the income flow and can cause damage to the economy. A deficit means the government borrows money increasing the income flow and causing economic growth. As long as it is not done to excess a deficit is generally good for a nations economy. |

Message | I agree that deficit smaller than 1% isn't a catastrophe. But not so long ago we had a nice surplus ,now it's deficit. I'm just worried that it's not the end. |

Message | "Government Expenditue is greater than Taxation - A budget Deficit The economy needs a boost, e.g. unemployment is high. If Government Expenditure increases the Agregate Demand increases, causing Economic growth and Employment + postive multiplier effects. If concentrated on Supply side economic policies Agregate Supply increases, increasing efficiency and decreasing costs to producers." That's why it's a good thing. |

Message | sorry had to finish my economics lecture for dinner, heres what a budget surplus is good for: "Government Expenditure is lower than Taxation - a budget Surplus The economy needs to slow down - e.g. Inflation, the economy is running at full capacity. Government Expenditure decreses, Agregate Demand decreases + negative multiplier effects. Decreasing expenditure on Supply Side poilcies to rapidly, may cause agregate supply to decrease causing inflation." and last but not least "Government expenditure equals taxation - A balanced budget The economy is stable. little expansion or contraction in the economy." |

Message | The LSU did exactly what they agreed would be a bad thing to do -- turning a healthy surplus into a deficit. The 30+ billion surplus is gone, and now they are left defending a deficit. |

Message | We never siad the deficit was a abad thing. In fact we have always said that a deficit would be a good thing. from the "demanding more money" debate: "the LSU's plan is to end the surplus culture we have in our budget." "We will end up with a budget deficit but this is neccesary to ensure economic growth " "Once we see a positive effect on private investment because of government spending we can ease back, bring the budget closer to balance (but still no surplus)" "A budget deficit promotes growth" |
