| Message | Mr. Speaker, Forum members, here in front of you is new budget proposal for 3364-3366. In next 140 pages you will have short explanation of spending. Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport: President and his Cabinet wants to strengthen public schools, reward effective teaching and expand opportunities for higher education. (Expand access to high quality early childhood education, Funds education research, Increase funding for charter schools) Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs: 90 billions is for funding of programs that help to monitor cyber, biological and nuclear threats, pay for service members that will keep pace with or exceed private sector jobs, expansion of military retired pay and Veterans Disability Compensation, Quality of life improvements for Deltarian Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines include modernization of barracks. Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport, Provincial Planning and Urban Development: To improve rural access to the aviation system as demand for subsidized commercial airspace increases, improve the efficiency, safety and capacity of air traffic control through the Next Generation Air Transportation System, supports moving from ground-based radar surveillance to satellite surveillance, H igh-Speed Rail Networks (Creation of a high speed rail network as an environmentally friendly alternative to flying or driving), build public homes for poor or low-income families with 3 or more children. Ministry of Health Care and Social Affairs: To increase health care providers in certain areas, increase resources to detect, prevents and treat HIV/AIDs domestically, support and eventually double cancer research, expand the Child Care and help low-income families heat and cool their homes. | Message | So, your party wants to cut budget for Infrastructure, Agriculture, Health and social services, environment and tourism, trade and industry of course you increased science and technology, but it hardly compensates the other budget cuts. And you increased budget of head of government, foreign affairs, internal affairs, finance, defense and justice. It just doesn't seems logical to our party, why spend so much on head of government? Or foreign affairs? Of course the quality of life will drop, but our head of government and finance (and other not so vital institutions) will be better funded. |
