Message | This time the government is not permitted to encourage the export of arms to a belligerent nation or organisation. We can also require that no arms may be directly acquired by a belligerent nation or organisation. For a belligerent nation or organisation to acquire arms from Cildania, they will be required to do so through an intermediary. OOC: I have read some real world international law and the only part of the arms sale which was illegal was that Dr. Thomasson encouraged the sale. |

Message | As long as we export on a case by case basis we are potentially limiting our export potential. If the government takes part in the export of arms for belligerent nations then we are responsible. We can leave arms exports with only the necessary regulations to limit our liability. |

Message | How is it a bad idea to allow the government to approve arms sales? Surely in the vast majority of cases they will be allowed, and only prevented if they go against national interests or security - and surely we don't want to undermine our own national interests in such a way? |

Message | If the government must approve them then the government is responsible. |
