Bill: Budget proposal of June 3381

Details

Submitted by[?]: Popular Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 3382

Description[?]:

The Popular Party believe that our child's deserve to have a world-class education. To do that, we will have to raise the education budget. To do this without raising taxes, budget efficiencies will have to be found in other areas. In this budget, we have avoided making significant savings in ministries which are important to other parties such as health and social services, enviroment and tourism and defence. We hope this budget will achieve cross-party support.

Popular Party Finance Spokeswoman

MessageUnity agrees with increasing the budgets for education and science & technology, especcially the latter, but some cuts presented here are simply too drastic and we do not see the need to cut overall spending by 27 billion when we do not have a fiscal deficit.
