Bill: DUCE Constitutional Reform I
Details
Submitted by[?]: Deltarian Union for Conservative Economy
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 3397
Description[?]:
"Honourable Representatives, As a nation Deltaria has continued to strive for equality of opportunity for our people. Ever since the foundation of our republic and the destruction of the Czars this has been the case. And therefore, fellow representatives, I say that retaining the right to nobility is a blatant flaunting of our principles. How are we supposed to create opportunity if we actively allow a hereditary elite to rule us, and how dare the government espouse this! Nobility is not a right that should be protected by the government and I urge you to vote in favor of the action." - Ayn Randol |

Message | We can only accept article I |
Date | 11:52:21, November 11, 2012 CET | From | Interim National Democratic Congress | To | Debating the DUCE Constitutional Reform I |
Message | We on the other hand, wouldn't mind articles 1 and 3 (as of feb 3394). We on the other hand completely oppose Article 1. It has been said before, that it makes the game dry. |

Message | We would request the hon. DUCE to be clear on whether, a. Article 1 stands for titles of nobility only OR it also includes titles given to a person who have contributed to society, science, fine arts, etc. (Since today, in most of the world, where titles of nobility still exist, this is their purpose) |

Message | Article 1 and 2 seem to contradict each other. ARTICLE 1 (Proposed: No titles of nobility are granted or recognised, their use is forbidden.) now ARTICLE 2 (Proposed: Nobility confers only titles and certain minor rights, but no political powers, and is not hereditary.) SO YOU SAYING " No titles of nobility are granted or recognised," BUT " Nobility confers only titles and certain minor rights" |

Message | We simply include article 2 as a representative of what should be an abhorrence of an upper class. The law itself is technically void according to the law previous. It is not contradictory at all, and I suggest the members of the Progressive Agenda Party read what the law describes. |
