Bill: Abolition of Slavery

Details

Submitted by[?]: Socialist Ecology Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2154

Description[?]:

Once and for all slavery must be abolished. At this point in the civilized world, our country must end this practice. Slavery is from the days when ignorance and the need to opress others was a fervent practice.

The Union of Quanzari Soviets must exit this ignorant state of existance, brought on by none other than the current majority party the National Farmers' Party (a Fascist organization), and go on to a brighter future where people of all nationalities can live as equals.

If that basic, moral, stance on slavery does not persuade you, let us look at a practical reason for abolishing slavery. Of our five regions, 1 is in the Bottom 20 for all regions in the world as far as un-employment goes, and another one of our regions is only 3 places out of joining the Bottom 20. Of our remaining 3 regions, none post an un-empolyment rate in the Top 20 regions, all 3 post rates throughout the middle of the spectrum.

There are the facts, look them up yourselves. Slavery is taking jobs away from deserving working class Quanzarians, the NFP says its free-market economy will benefit all, this a blatent lie, as so many are un-employed or enslaved.

Use your heads, not only for this Bill but for others as well. Will such ignorance (the NFP) truly benefit our country in the long run, domestically and internationally, as we strive to become an international power?

MessageUnemployment was actually higher in those regions before slavery; those statistics are manipulated facets.

MessageCan you prove they were manipulated, and can you prove they were higher before slavery? (which is completely ridiculous, because think about it, would you rather PAY someone to do work for you, or have someone do it for NOTHING?)

If you go against this you have NO MORALS!!! The only thing you can try to refute from my description up there is the practical reason for abolishing it, not the moral reason, which I'm sure you feel guilty about cause, if I'm not mistaken you are human, although Fascists tend to enjoy hurting/opressing people. i.e. HITLER!!!

MessageFirstly, slaves are unskilled and perform the most menial jobs. Most citizens are well educated and qualified and would most likely not be doing the same type of work the slaves are doing.

No, I can't prove that unemployment decreased because the unemployment statistics only show the present. It actually benefits consumers and producers to have considerably cheaper goods and services since the costs of producing goods and services have gone down due to slavery.

MessageReally??? the cost of goods go down when the producers don't have to pay anyone for making them??? That's crazy mannn!

Still you mention nothing about the first reason for abolishing slavery, that it is morally wrong. There is no way to refute that.
