Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: May 3403
Description[?]:
The aristocracy is the epitome of the hatred of the upper-classes towards the working-class and ought to be abolished in this day and age. Having an aristocracy sends out the message that rich and privileged people are somehow inherently superior to everybody else, and that is immoral. We have had enough of Lords, Earls, Dukes and Sirs. Away with the lot of them! |

Message | Mr. Speaker, there are no nobles in Dranland. Aristocracy is neither granted or recognised. What we find unreasonable is the attempt to ban the use of noble titles. If someone wants to give themselves a meaningless fancy title, so be it. Additionally, there may be issues with visiting foreigners who hold such titles. The fact that the DSP believes that the mere use of titles of nobility is an act of hatred and immorality shows clearly, Mr. Speaker, their neurotic attitude and belief that class division prevails over the unity of the Dranish people. We do not support nobility, but this bill simply goes too far. Margaret Woodhall MP Member for Ulbrach |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Dranland has a legacy of aristocratic elite rule and that legacy continues today with millionaire and billionaire aristos prancing around calling themselves Duchess this, Duke that, Lady this and Lord that. This perpetuates the ideological apparatus of class rule through which the elite oppresses the working-class. These pretentious snobs and their titles are a perfectly legitimate target for our campaign of socialist equality for all. George Butterworth MP (Leader of the DSP) |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I must note that even a beggar can call himself the Duke of Iglesia Mayor. There are no class divisions involved; anyone has the right to give themselves a noble title, which will not bring them any benefits under the law. Margaret Woodhall MP Member for Ulbrach |
