Description[?]:
This is a classified report requested by former Minister of Defence Timothy Carr before he retired. He also served as Chief of the Dominion General Staff. We urge the Grand Nationalists Party to observe and consider our positions. This Report has taken years to come to being. Defence Critic Michael Fox Co Signed by: Leader of the Official Opposition Thomas Woodbury ------------------------------------------- Defence Report of the Imperial Dominion Armed Forces Ordered by: Minister of Defence Timothy Carr of the Dominion Party Co-Sponsored: Emperor Bryan I as advised by Prime Minister Abigail Woodbury Chief of the Imperial General Staff General Richard Price Current Budget: Two Hundred and Ten Billion Jelbanian Dollars (210,000,000,000 JEL) Proposed Increases for 3390 Budget: Forty Billion Jelbanian Dollars (40,000,000,000 JEL) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personal Report from the office of the Inspector General. Since the death of Supreme Chancellor Kyle Woodbury the Jelbanian Armed Forces have been in a state of decline, having rested on the laurels of aiding in the victory of the Great Dovani War. Supreme Chancellor Woodbury kept the budget at its wartime height for several years after the war, both to aid in the rapid reconstruction of forces which had almost seen our loss. It allowed for a moderate moderinzation of forces and expansion of bases, which turned our force of volunteers and conscripts into a legitimate force to be reckoned with. Following the death of the Supreme Chancellor and the election of Supreme Chancellor Alexander Woodbury the budget was slashed from 365,000,000,000 JEL to 120,000,000,000 JEL; a cut of over 66% to “balance the books of the wartime defiect.” This immense slash in funding had the exact expected and predicted effect on our Armed Forces, causing another massive decline in the capability of our Armed Forces. This was only begun to be reversed in the 3379 budget with the increase of ninety billion JEL marking our defence budget up to a respectable 210,000,000,000 JEL although the state of organization, command and logistics has been a mess; having the increased budget was effectively ignored during the tenure of GNP MInister of Defence (insert name here). This report, which was ordered by Minister of Defence Timothy Carr is the current standing of our Armed Forces capabilities, personal and proposed changes and upgrades to our forces. Lieutenant General Rick Helicker Quarter Master General of the Jelbanian Armed Forces Inspector General of the Imperial Dominion Army -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
