MessageThe tax adjustments will cost about 10 billion Krona at most (about 0.5% of GDP). We need to make budget cuts anyway since we are already in deficit (180bn - more than 10% of GDP) and introduce a sales tax on essential goods. We need to move before we end up like Greece or something.

MessageIC: What is Greece? Why should we make essential goods expensive? Surely that would be very damaging to the finances of our less well off citizens?

OOC: Greece does not exist in this fictional world, try to stay in character (IC), or if you are making an out of character reference label it as OOC.

MessageOh sorry I just wanted to make an obvious example and got carried away. We do need both budget and tax cuts. We believe in the (OOC) Laffer Curve . Our tax rates are simply too high. A 80% top rate and a very low threshold which hurts low income earners,we will soon be Hobrazia, with its communism and high unemployment.
