Message | Why should government employees be appointed by political siding? Why should they not be objective in their daily practices? Is it truly fair to hire a member of one party over another, simply because they are of the same ideology? Is it not an insult to practicality to hire a friend over a qualified individual? Bodhists feel it is an insult to dignity and government to continue this practice. It must be ended to ensure that government works for the general populace, and not for special interests. We exist because the populace allows for it, and we are servants. Government cannot serve the people unless it is effective, and it cannot be effective when the likelihood of a dumb party activist being chosen over a well-qualified party opposer is very real. |

Message | We sympathize with the Bodhi party position, but are forced to vote no. In a perfect world, promising political independence would mean exactly that, but in today's world a promise means little (especially in politics). |
