Description[?]:
Madam Speaker, in these times of disunity we believe that a compulsory National Service will help forge a sense of genuine comradeship among all young citizens, making them more civil minded and less inclined to factional hatreds. We have seen first hand the handiwork of generations of spoiled ideologues who have no regard or respect for the beliefs of their countrymen, or for the overall good of the Dranish nation. Before a boy becomes a citizen, he must learn first hand the values of patriotism, discipline and hard work. We are sure the overgrown manchildern of the nation will shriek in protest at the idea of being made to do anything by the Government, but responsible adults must learn that citizenship is not a privilege gained when one turns 18, but a lifelong duty gained via one's acceptance of the overriding Public Good. Governor Adolfo Conrado Aníbal Rafael MP First Minister of Valdor |

Message | Madam Speaker, this is a silly attempt to inculcate chauvinist and militarist attitudes in the minds of young people. However, we are not completely averse to the concept of national service. We could see advantages in asking every citizen to complete a term of peaceful and constructive civilian national service. Message | Madam Speaker, any kind of government-decreed labour is state-sanctioned slavery, which is, of course, the very essence of socialism. We thus completely reject this bill. Kojiro Machimura MP Member for Magadonia GNP Parliamentary Leader |
