Message | We strongly oppose article 2. Student creativity should be the foremost important issue than creating a generation of rote memorisers with no analytical skills or creativity drive. OOC: Another example is India. India established the IITs. The institutes were brilliant and praised for their insanely difficult exams. For the fist few yards it helped India. But then coaching institutes cracked the pattern more or less. This lead to students with no actual intererets in science and engineering but interest in money-making and business to persue IITs which lead to the bran drain phenomenon of students of IIT leaving India upon the opportunity of work anywhere else in the world. The system is still trying to find out what went wrong and bring in "reforms" in the system, which aren't that succesfull. |
