Bill: Secondary Action Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3428

Description[?]:

So often, workers are denied justice because of Dranland's restrictive laws against secondary strike action. When employers are exploiting their workers, the workers need to be able to band together in solidarity.

MessageWhy should unions who have nothing to do with another union's disputes have the right to cause disruption to hard-working families in Dranland. The PP will vote against this stupid bill.

MessageMadam Speaker

Mr Prime Minister there is sonething called as unity which will bring cooperation and eventual success that's why we should have secondary strikes to protect rights of workers but there is unnecessary strikes that will only devastate people of Dranland that why our soon to be colleagues proposed it with relatable unions. We commend DSP on this wonderful bill.

MessageMadam Speaker, the injustice and inequality embedded in Dranland's capitalist free-for-all economy means the balance of power is unfairly tilted towards employers rather than workers. The reform we are proposing would go a small way towards redressing this imbalance.

MessageMadam Speaker, this bill would allow union cartels to shut down the whole of the Dranish economy whenever it fits them, thus effectively granting them the power to run businesses they do not own. We remain committed to workers' right to strike, but the term solidarity should not be abused an an excuse to allow union members to make their own rules in the business environment.

MessageWell said. But even a generic political analysis can scarcely be deemed objective. Always depends on the viewpoint.

MessageOOC: Here in the UK, BBC News always claims to be "objective", and is always being accused of bias by different people :). Of course, in reality, when it comes to politics and current affairs, it is very difficult - perhaps impossible - to be universally regarded as "objective" all the time in how one presents the facts.

Random quote: "Soldiers are not the enemies of the movement. They're potential allies. They're more than that. Soldiers are the only people in America who are paying a stiff price for this war. Everybody else profits. Soldiers are the ones losing their lives, losing friends, having their lives disrupted. The real victims of American imperialism are its soldiers." - Fred Gardner
