Bill: Law and Order II

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand National Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3432

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker, we need to end the restrictions on self-defense imposed by the former left-wing government. Law and Order is only a catchphrase if we do not allow decent citizens to defend themselves against thugs and thieves at all time.

MessageMr Speaker

If Prime Minister Townsend provides common sense bills like that we can reach safer society not by extremist policies that will only make everyone suffer.

MessageMr. Speaker, this is an appalling piece of legislation which will send Dranland's crime rate skyrocketing upwards. Making guns easier to obtain with fewer checks will escalate gun crime. And allowing the rich to flee crime-ridden cities by building their own segregated communities will just make our society even more socially divided than it is already, which will fuel resentment and alienation, consequently driving up crime even further. Mr. Speaker, the GNP are demonstrating yet again that they are soft on crime and soft on the causes of crime.

I believe that if you can afford it than no one has a thing to say where you can sit as long as it is not unreasonable
so gated communities will be beneficial to Dranland because there is not only poor in Dranland we should also protect the rights of middle class and higher class.

MessageMr. Speaker, the proliferation of gated communities will tear apart the social fabric of Dranland. Instead of working within the community to improve life for everyone, the rich will be tempted to segregate themselves off from the rest of society. The result will be increasing alienation, fear and resentment between the super-rich and everybody else. I really do not believe this proposal will benefit anyone in Dranland. In the long-run, even the super-rich will suffer.
