MessageMr Speaker, how come the socialists are suddenly so thin-skinned? Throughout the years, the left has smeared honorable politicians such as Adrienne LeCoultre Overstraten*, Tom Marshall** and Julia Breckinridge*** with completely unfounded allegations. Apart from that, they issued hate speech against business people, wealthy Dranians and investors countless times. If they wish to provoke counter-motions against the respective originators of these smear campaigns, namely George Butterworth and Cadfael Maddocks, they shall go ahead with their denouncements.

*Butterworth's claim that ALO's husband was involved in shady deals in Hulstria,
**calling for an investigation of Tom Marshall with regards to his 'security team'
***Maddock's twitter response to Breckinridge saying that the GNP wishes to intentionally raise unemployment

MessageMr Speaker

We believe in freedom of speech and stupidity and Minister Warwick and Honourable Mitchell are posters boy and girl for those freedoms. If they were offended they have to demand an apology. But if DSP offended by those speeches than Minister Warwick and Honourable Mitchell should apoligize until then we will refuse to speak Minister Warwick but for Honourable Mitchell my proposal is still valid.

MessageMr. Speaker, I can assure Mr. Warwick that as a socialist politician in Dranland I have experienced more than my fair share of abuse and have developed a very thick skin. We have some misunderstanding going on here, though. The main offended party here are the immigrant community in Dranland - many of whom are very vulnerable and very exposed to prejudices in our society. It is *them* and not *me* who this motion has been proposed in defence of. Mr. Warwick has treated our immigrant communities with blatant disrespect, and he has whipped up hatreds against them which will make their everyday lives more difficult than they would otherwise have been.

Mr. Speaker, I am not proposing to stop Mr. Warwick from speaking his views, either here in Parliament or elsewhere. What I am suggesting is that Parliament has a right - and I believe a duty - to makes its opinion known on Warwick's reprehensible and bigotted statements.

MessageMr. Speaker, I also support Mr. Warwick's freedom of speech and freedom to talk stupidly. But I also support Parliament's right to free speech and Parliament's right to inform the whole of Dranland in no uncertain terms that Parliament finds Mr. Warwick's recent behaviour unacceptable. That, Mr. Speaker, is what we are trying to achieve here.

MessageMr Speaker, illegal immigration is a crime, and I reject the Hon. Member Benandez' attempt to equate decent immigrants, who come here to work hard and earn a living in an honest way, with those who violate our laws and come here for benefits and want to live off tax money. Those are two very different groups of people, and there is nothing racist about wanting to punish criminal actions instead of rewarding it, as the "Protect the Aliens" bill is proposing. Once again, the DSP shows that they indeed are the "patrons of criminals", as our Prime Minister has rightfully expressed it.

MessageOOC: If you look at the 'Laws of the Republic of Dranland' page, our position on "Government policy concerning immigration" is currently: "Everyone is allowed to reside permanently in this nation. I don't think there are any illegal immigrants in Dranland! Or if there are any, there are extremely few of them (like, perhaps people convicted of serious crimes who have been expelled from the country?).

MessageMr. Speaker, Craig Warwick is trying to obfuscate himself out of the hole he has dug for himself. What is at issue here is the deceitful and inflammatory language Craig Warwick used to talk about immigration. He stereotyped immigrants as "benefit-scroungers". The 'Protect the Aliens' Bill is eminently reasonable. Only the GNP and the notoriously bigotted Blue Shirts are opposed to it. If Mr. Warwick is so opposed to the Bill, perhaps he should talk to his own coalition partners - since they are both supporting it. Perhaps they are the ones he should be accusing of being "patron of criminals"?

Craig Warwick also made the obscene suggestion that myself and Florence McCormick "plan to seize family homes in order to transform them into resorts for illegal immigrants". That, Mr. Speaker, is a downright lie and Mr. Warwick knows full well that it is a downright lie. And the people who will suffer from that lie are not myself or Florence McCormick - we are both tough-skinned politicians. The people who will suffer are vulnerable immigrants who are on the receiving end of prejudice and discrimination on our society. Mr. Warwick should be ashamed of himself, just as the country is ashamed of him. Perhaps Mr. Warwick's party could demonstrate a little shame and remorse too - or is that too much to ask?

Mr. Speaker, the GNP may consider Craig Warwick to be fit to be their Chairman, but he is not fit to Dranland's Minister of Education. Can the GNP really not find anybody more suitable than this to look after the educational welfare of our children?

MessageMr Speaker

GNP's anti-welfare stance is known well across Dranland but we think they go with this position a little bit too extreme like they have became anti-educational welfare of our children because they have nominated Craig Warwick, and we all have same question on our head why GNP is anti-children and anti-education ?

MessageMr. Speaker, the Honourable Member Florence McCormick makes a very good point. The GNP is increasingly demonstrating itself to be a radically anti-child and anti-education party. They are completely indifferent to the educational welfare of Dranish children, so much so that they have previously proposed privatising all of our schools. They are also totally opposed to any controls on violent video games and movies whatsoever, which means children's lives are blighted by premature exposure to extreme material. Similarly, they want to create a drugs free-for-all in Dranland, and have done everything in their power to help the drug dealers get rich whilst the lives of ordinary young people are wrecked.

MessageMr Speaker, contrary to the left we do not believe that protecting children must be accomplished through authoritarian policies such as allowing the government to censor films and games, thus establishing a kind of discourse control. We believe in the ability of parents to selectively determine which contents they deem appropriate for their kids and which they don't. We don't believe in censorship, bans and restrictions, neither by "Greater Society" nor the government.

MessageMr. Speaker, in view of the current ethnic tensions Dranland is experiencing, I hope Parliament will examine Mr. Warwick's behaviour and this motion very carefully indeed. Are we against inflammatory rhetoric that endangers our community relations, or are we in favour of it?
