Message | The direct election of the President to lead our nation is a good thing. What's the point of having a President and a Prime Minister? You just get people arguing over what the two do. A party with the President will say nothing the Prime Minister does is legal and say they have the power. The Prime Minister will say his party is in charge and the President is nothing but a figure-head. I really don't see the point in having two when one person can do the job. |

Message | OOC: Well that's all very well. But in this game it's not really defined what they each do. The player who controls the President might say 'I'm the President, I'm in charge of foreign affairs' but if another party controls the cabinet they might say they control foreign affairs. And even if you have a powerless President, what is the point of having someone who doesn't do anything? |

Message | OOC: I think that's how it should be, is more democratic (apparently) ... I'm proposing something that already happens with most countries real. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
