Bill: Corporation Tax

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3439

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker, Dranish corporations pay a ridiculously low level of corporation tax. We propose that they should be asked to pay 1 percent - just 1 measly percent! - more than they currently do in order to provide better services for the most vulnerable in our society. Are the forces of wealth and privilege in Dranland too miserly to begrudge them that?

MessageMr. Speaker, can the Green Shirts call themselves proper socialists when they refuse to increase corporation tax from 8% to 9% - which is still incredibly low? Have they sold out to big business?

We are not the ones that who are sold to big business. Mr.Benandez's son caught with Minister Cadiavera in a club that is known for capitalists and big businesses bribary place, he could explain this first than attack us being big business's slut

MessageMr. Speaker, I demand to know what Kenny Danilo is talking about! How dare he make such allegations against my son! I know my boy very well, and he would never be seen dead in a place where capitalists do dodgy deals together. Nor would he have anything to do with that sort of woman. He has assured me the newspaper reports are nonsense, and I have no reason to disbelieve him. Why are the pro-capitalist newspapers trying to tarnish my family by making up ludicrous stories? And why is Kenny Danilo joining in their appalling campaign against my son?

MessageMr Speaker, we would gladly vote for this bill if only it would stop the tiresome, endlessly repetitive monologues of the Opposition Leader about the corporation tax rate...

MessageMr. Speaker, I am delighted that the GNP have been persuaded of the strength of our case for socialism. Could we persuade her to aim a little higher and go for 10% next time?

MessageMr. Speaker, what kills jobs in Dranland is the abandonment of the economy to the chaos of the capitalist free market. A bigger public sector - which this tax increase can help support - will stabilise our economic situation.
