This bill detains provisions for a suitable management framework allowing appropriate exploitaiton of Indrala's forest resources while preserving biodiversity and overall levels of forest cover for future generations. In particular, areas of special scientific interest and key wildlife habitats will be protected, while less sensitive areas will be opened up for commercial logging. Replacement planting will be mandatory to ensure that we do not lose significant forest area overall. |
