Bill: Democratic Kazulia
Details
Submitted by[?]: De venstregrønne
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 3441
Description[?]:
Senterpartiet supports withdrawal from this treaty as it prevents our parliament from having any say over the future constitutional status of the country. We feel that if a party wants to bring forward a bill for debate relating to Kazulia's continued status as a monarchy then they should be able to do so. |

Message | This bill will not end the monarchy, just allow parliament to vote on the issue should it want to do so at any future date. We hope that as many parties as possible will support it. |
Date | 19:26:21, February 14, 2013 CET | From | Liberal Konservative Partiet | To | Debating the Democratic Kazulia |
Message | We agree that the Hennes Majestets Kongelige Hoff should be able to propose constitutional change, however, the institution of the Monarchy would require a very long debate for the decision to abolish it to be acceptable. All the treaty does is extend the period that we debate, and given that the position of our Head of State is of such importance, we feel that is justifiable. We do welcome debate on this area though. |
