Bill: Cabinet Warwick I

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand National Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3441

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker, as announced one year ago, I will stand by my promises and resign from the position of Head of Government within this month. In the light of the recent scandals, a comprehensive cabinet renewal is an important step toward a normalization of political culture, hence I urge all Members to endorse this proposal and vote for stability.

Jacqueline Townsend MP
Member for Valdor
Prime Minister

Mr Speaker, I wish to pay tribute to the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister for her words of reason in a time when we have to discuss very much unpleasant topics and their consequences which we now have to deal with. Despite these incidents, I wish to shift the focus on the marvelous achievements and the wise leadership by which Jacqueline Townsend has led our country for over a decade, resisting civil unrest, terrorism and radicalism on both sides of the spectrum while continuing to work for prosperity, liberty and security.

The Prime Minister deserves highest esteem from this assembly for her contributions to making Dranland a more prosperous and thriving nation economically while successfully fighting terrorism and those who wish to destroy the values of tolerance, diversity and peaceful co-existence that made our country great. I can only hope to make a half as formidable Prime Minister and am vastly proud and moved to be allowed to build on her marvelous legacy.

MessageOOC: Yes, we need to cut taxes AND spending (because Bush and Reagan only did one thing, they also increased the debt). Rubio seems to understand that, but I liked Rand Paul's speech even better in this respect because he emphasizes it as THE core question when it comes to deciding which path the US should choose.

MessageOOC: In EEL's article, a conservative man launched an attack upon the Benji Benandez Appreciation Society website where the explicit videos were posted. there was no suggestion that this person leaked the videos in the first place. When I wrote about the leaked videos etc., what I had in mind was the Benji, being a not terribly mature 17yo, might have unwisely shared the evidence of his exploits with 1 or 2 friends. Then, somewhere later down the line, these videos got into the hands of people prepared to blackmail Cadiavera.

MessageMr. Speaker, on behalf of the Democratic Socialist Party, I pay tribute to Jacqueline Townsend for the years of public service she has devoted to our country. During her time in office she has been in many ways a role model and an inspiration to many of us, including myself. I also wish to welcome the new Prime Minister and his ministers to their posts.

Mr. Speaker, this has been a terrible day for Dranland and Dranish politics. We have experienced the most serious scandal in recent years - a scandal involving government ministers and Members of Parliament. All of the four DSP MPs involved in this affair have been expelled from our party, and in due course, I hope and expect that they will be prosecuted in the courts. When events like this happen, they risk tarnishing the whole of Dranish democracy because of the way they shake public confidence in politicians and our democratic system. A minority were involved in this wrongdoing, but we all risk being tarnished by the same brush. We in Parliament today - all of us - now have a responsibility to restore the confidence of the public. All corruption and all suspicion of corruption must be rooted out.

By coincidence, both myself and Mr. Warwick, Leader of the Opposition and Prime Minister, begin our new roles at the same time during this difficult period. I, for my part, pledge to do everything I can to make the conduct of Dranish politics more honourable and decent than it has been in the past, and I have no doubt that he, for his part, will be determined to do the same. Let us begin a new beginning here in Dranland today.

MessageMr. Speaker, this is another corrupt right-wing government which contains the same parties and many of the same faces as the previous corrupt right-wing government. What Dranland desperately needs now is an early General Election and a change of government. Through its disgusting behaviour, the ruling coalition has lost the moral authority to govern Dranland.

Edward Montini MP

MessageOOC: I don't find time to watch SOTU but what he said was increase the minimum wage, tackle global warming(unlike GOP politicians polls indicate Americans see Global Warming as a threat that needs to be solved), because GOP just controls the House doesn't mean that they control everything you people need to get this Obama is reelected, majority of people voted for Dem House candidates so people want them not crazy GOP and her idiotic ideas. America has a spending problem and needs to solve it but not just with spending cuts because of two ways first it is unrealistic and toxic, secondly cutting taxes with spending cuts it won't pass and only increase the tension. What America needs a spending cut and a tax increase. Obama is not near of socialism, until he withdraws his support idea free enterprise is the answer for America.

Compared with a decade ago, this country is more open at home and more compassionate abroad and that is something we should all be grateful for and on behalf of the whole country I'd like to pay tribute to the outgoing prime minister for his long record of dedicated public service.

In terms of the future, our country has a corrupt Government which has offers nothing. who are desperate to protect their own jobs and we have some deep and pressing problems - a political system which the public have lost faith in.
