Message | Mr Speaker, clearly the VBSM has revealed its belief in the absurd idea of "ethnic supremacy" with this equally despicable bill. If one wishes to regulate immigration for the sake of the economy and the national interest, one would suggest defining skills-based quota for immigrants, not a racist policy based on rejecting or accepting people according to their ethnic background. Herman Boxhall MP Member for Valdor Minister of Internal Affairs |
Date | 18:11:43, February 14, 2013 CET | From | Democratic Socialist Party | To | Debating the Immigration Act |
Message | Mr. Speaker, this legislation is being perceived, rightfully I believe, as discriminatory and divisive. We do not believe immigration controls are necessary or desirable in Dranland, but if we are to introduce such controls, then introducing them on the basis of nationality alone is the height of unfairness. Bergitte Mikkelsen MP (Leader of the Opposition) |
