We should rather increase it instead of reducing it.
A nation shall strive for being a technologic super power, that is Retsforbundet would like Kazulia to be and we do therefore vote no to this bill. |

We also note that there are many private sector sponsors and funders of science and technology and feel that this is an area which can cope well even should government spending be cut back. |

We could keep the science and technology budget at the current level if we reduced the defence budget with 8,000,000,000 KKR and the justice budget with 2,400,000,000 KKR, this would be much better for our country. This would show the world that we do not favor war and it will not result in a massive loss of growth and jobs. |

Hopefully in the future though our country can elect a progressive parliamentary majority in favour of slashing defence spending and redistributing it to more important areas. |

We already increased taxes by about 80 billion but would certainly consider further increases if this would be more popular than spending cuts. |

The Indigo League is committed to the advancement of science and technology in our country but feel that targeted stimulation of the private sector by a smaller budget through competitive grants and contracts can do just as well if not better than our previous strategy. We also strongly support keeping our defense budget the same for national security. The way to show the world we are a peaceful country is to stay out of wars, not by disarming ourselves. Other countries may not act in the same manner as Kazulia and there will eventually be an invasion we need to defend ourselves from. |
