Voting deadline: March 3452
Description[?]:
This bill acknowledges that Hulstria and Gao-Soto lack any form of a state-led culture, and as a result would benefit from the creation of a purposeful state-led effort to fund the arts in all spheres. This includes the creation of a state orchestra, a national opera, a national ballet, state-funded artists and state-run galleries and theatres. A state-run radio station will co-exist with private stations, and will be funded by the central government. Television will also be granted a state-run channel for the expression of Hulstrian culture. |

Message | Der sehr ehrenwerte Minister für Bildung und Kultur, Klaus Horiuchi MR (AF, Hikyuu-zyou Daigaku): "The AF does not believe that culture is something to be state-run, but something to stand on its own. We believe that the current legislation is adequate, in that local governments may subsidize local artists if they so choose. We also believe that government subsidization of independent non-profit television and radio stations is adequate- we have no need for state owned stations." |
