MessageMadam Speaker, those who design new pieces of technology and create original pieces of art need to assured control of their intellectual property. Otherwise there will be no incentive for them to create things - and the whole of society would lose out from that.

Video games ought to be regulated more tightly and not less. They are doing immense damage to the minds of young people.

MessageMadame Speaker,

There are gazillions of ways to get rich on your good work without forcing people to pay for your ideas. Or rather, without forcing people to pay the immensely rich multinational company your "sold" your ideas to.

I suppose that freedom hurts when you aren't allowed to force your elitism upon innocent people. Video games do so much good for children, it teaches them history, makes them better at their own or different languages, makes them connect with people from all over the world to have fun together, stimulates creativity, strongly improves reactivity.. If the Gukmindang truly loves diversity, friendship and education, they should let the video game market be free.

MessageMadam Speaker,

if a person decides to sell one of its creative products to a customer under the provision that this transfer of property titles does not include the right to copy and re-sell the product, then we have to recognize this voluntary contract. Unfortunately, our opposition to article 1 does not allow us to vote in favor of the second proposal which we generally agree with.

MessageMadame Speaker,

I wonder whether the GNP would support a reformed proposal that limits copyright protection but does not abolish it? We too to be happy to finally do away with the oppressive state-enforced content ratings on video games.

Werin Da Spokesman on science and technology
