MessageWell, you are right. however, the second part of my statement "lets think of the children" why dont we do that? Gun control does that...or so we believe.

MessageSame point on article 2. Article 1 has been gone over many times in the history of the nation. It is beyond common sense that anone desecrate the symbol of the NATION (not the government of the nation) to make any statement whatsoever. To state that flag desecration is a civil liberty is akin to making theft, vandalism or murder a civil liberty. The very idea lacks sane and rational thought. Flag desecration is a crime against the people of a nation represented and should be treated as such. If it were possible in game, I would demand the same reverence for ALL recognised national flags, as each represents the people of that nation, and thus should be afforded all due respect, even if we were at war with them.

MessageWe're not disagreeing with the fact that the need is great to respect the people of the nation which the flag represents, however, sometimes it is necessary to make a statement that some would find unpopular, and yet is one of the most important things that can be done...protesting. thats what this is about damnit.

MessageSo if I want to go have sex on the steps of the capitol building in protest of something that's ok, right? Because I find that less obscene than flag desecration.

MessageI don't see a case where that would be necessary, but if it ever became apparent that it was, then yes.
