Bill: Hosian Reform Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dranish Hosian Democrats

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3457

Description[?]:

The DHD would like to propose several elemental key changes to Dranish legislation to allow for a more moral and social just society.

OOC: Mostly to make a stand so people know where I am politically and to move my former position of Green Solidarity with regards to several issues - morality most dominantly (right now it's very progressive, but it should be conservative)

MessageMr Speaker

This so called moral law proposal is a disgrace, DHD proven to be poised as the new BDSM(OOC:VBSM in GP language).Like those immoral oppresors, DHD try to oppress us with their pseudo-moral values only diminish the tradional Dranish family. This bill is unDranish and every sane person has to oppose it.Only Articles 5 and 9 that we agree upon.

MessageOOC: I think it would be better if this very very long bill had been introduced in parts. LOL supports 4 articles or so but will have vote no and still have my positions ruined.

MessageOOC: LoL: It was never my intention to get this bill through, so feel free to voice your opposition and just abstan. It's not like anybody else is gonna vote for it anyway ;-) Once I get seats in the next election, I'll start negotiations and suggest the parts of the bill that has a realistic chance of being implemented.

MessageMadam Speaker,

although we also oppose the attempt to enforce personal, religion-driven moral upon free people, the most dangerous proposal in this bill is to triple the corporation tax, which is a direct assault on jobs and our nation's economic competitiveness.

MessageOOC: As far as I know you just don't gain any. And considering that you have "excellent" visibility in all your issues (which is maximum), why bother? This is one of the few times where it makes sense to choose "abstain" instead of "no".
