Bill: Tax reduction and harmonisation bill 2155
Details
Submitted by[?]: Keymon Ruling Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2157
Description[?]:
We really shouldn't be putting such a large burden on our economy... In addition to this, having different sales tax rates artificially distorts the market. If you 'must have' sales tax, then it should be at the same level regardless of item in question.... |

Message | No. We especially do not agree with Article 1. It would essentially harm the Proletariat and we can't be having that. |

Message | We would prefer no sales tax altogether, which is why we suggest this compromise. In essence, having a variable sales tax rate artificially distorts the market, so its a 'bad thing'. So, if you are going to have sales taxes, then they should be at the same level, and ideally very low indeed. |

Message | Opposed. Perhaps if you place the sales tax at 10% then maybe we'll vote in favour... but it does not look like you'll be changing your mind. |

Message | Like I said, I would prefer no sales tax whatsoever, but I can live with both being the same at a low rate. Now, what I'll do is put a 10% option to vote at the same time, and then people can vote for the one they prefer, how's that for fairness? |
