Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, as always when government gets involved in an area of business, distortions and deterioration ensue. This principle, of course, also applies to the sector of agriculture where government arbitrarily violates property rights and is allowed to seize rightfully purchased land to transfer it to previously uninvolved parties. This has to stop, as well as the absurd idea of issuing subsidies made up by tax money to react to growing market demand instead of letting the market regulate the allocation of capital on its own according to rational rules. Eventually, we also propose to end fishing quotas in order to boost productivity and lower the price for fish meals bought in supermarkets and stores by the average family. Hugh Richmond MP Member for Elbian GNP Agriculture Spokesman |

Message | Mr. Speaker, we are opposed to the abolition of fishing quotas, because preserving the long-term viabilitiy of fish stocks means we need to be careful about over-fishing. However, our support for the other two Articles persuades us to support this Bill as a whole. Rafael Duvalle Chairman of the Dranish Conservative Party |
