Message | Mr Speaker, we oppose drilling our youth into servitude and submission to authorities. Young people should be allowed to develop into self-reliant, self-responsible and self-determined individuals, not servants of governmental arbitrariness and an authoritarian idea of patriotism that leaves no place for individualism. Message | Mr. Speaker, we fear that it is a lack of patriotism and discipline, coupled with an excess of individualism, which has brought Dranland to the pass she now finds herself at. We cannot have a stable society unless we establish that everybody has responsibilities and everybody needs to follow the rules. National service is a fantastic way to inculcate precisely these traditional Dranish values. Rafael Duvalle Chairman of the Dranish Conservative Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, collectivism and over-regulation, not individualism, have left Dranland in shambles after five years of left-wing rule. Everyone bears responsibility for his own actions, and no one should be forced to assume a place within society that he would not have chosen voluntarily. Government decrees are the source of all evil, and lead to a continuous downward spiral in social harmony. Kojiro Kaneda MP Member for Loren Leader of the Opposition |

Message | Mr Speaker I strongly disagree with the Prime Minister. Youths need guidance and have to respect authority. I cane my own sons daily just to remind them where the authority in the home lies. We need obedient youngsters and fear that GNP style anarchy based policies would soon ruin our youth thus our future. Jose Manana DAL Chairman |

Message | Mr. Speaker, as a traditional conservative I reject the popular liberal prejudice that applying corporal punishment to children is always wrong. However, I must question the efficacy of caning children on a routine daily basis "just to remind them where the authority in the home lies". Such an attitude suggests a poor disciplinary approach.
