Bill: Abolition of Ban on Religious Schools
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluz Democratic Karavist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3465
Description[?]:
The ban of religious schools is a stain on the civil liberties of the Beluz Union. While we, the Karavs, oppose religion strongly, we simply avoid it ourselves; we do not have the right to force others to do the same, and when we think we have that right, it makes us totalitarian. |
Proposals
Article 1

Message | Religion is just another kind of capitalist opression. |

Message | While we agree, it is not our right to assume that our logic or ideology is greater than that of anyone else. While I prefer Socialism, I cannot say that Socialism is a superior ideology (notice I say ideology and not system) than Capitalism. While I oppose religion, I cannot say that religious persons, or persons whose ideology have them supporting the existence of religion, are inferior to me because my ideology is different. To use the law, to ban ideas, is ridiculous and totalitarian. |

Message | I think that there shouldn't be religious schools, but more of a education and moral system based on christian/positive religious aspects combined with socialist views ( OOC : Sadly there are no bills like that). Regarding religious education ( as giving an overall-look on various religion) there should be just a seperate class for it,which will be voluntary. |

Message | But even this talk of "moral aspects" could be considered socially conservative. You want a non-biased "Religious Education" class to be available in public schools? We, the Karavs, would support that. -- OOC: I think the name for Christianity in Particracy is Hosianism or something like that. Message me to remind me to look it up for you. We can pass a bill (but without articles) to say that there is a religious education class. |
